To warm your heart...

and your belly! I have a new meal in my repertoire. In a medium sauce pan, start with one packet of Campbells Beef and Onion Broth, add four cups water, add one can of green beans(drained), and two cups diced fresh carrots. Bring to a boil, I usually boil about an inch of water off. Stir occasionaly.

While that is brewing I place between six and eight slices of a crunchy crusty french loaf on a cookie sheet. Place a slice of tomato (Roma are my preference) in the center of each slice and then top with a slice of Muenster cheese. Place in the oven for 5 minutes @ 350 degrees, just until the cheese is melted. I then place the crustini on the bottom of the soup bowl and ladle the soup over it. Serve immediately.

This is based upon the most wonderful cup of French Onion soup I have ever enjoyed - Thank you Mistrals! Mistral Restaurant
