In preparation for the move I've begun a few minor remodeling projects--new flooring for the bathrooms and granite countertops. It has taken me months to settle on Absolute black pictured here. My sypathies to the designers at Home Depot for their patience as well as their poise. I cancelled my order after finding the exact same stone (by Bellini) for half the price. Due to the cost difference they could not honor the 10% competitor price promise. But with savings of $2500.00 that's not a complaint.
I've also begun selling off unneccessary items, the unused weight set for example. I've also begun sorting out the closets and bookshelves. While this is not my first move, there is a distinction to be made for those moving from an apartment. You tend to fill space with items and I have done more than my fair share. My partner has three rooms in the house I have the other eight.
