With the collapse and decline on Wallstreet true terror might be hitting Americans this year. As dark and depressing as that is, I find it all the more reason to celebrate. You see in times of trouble, traditions take on a greater role as they provide stability and a chance to temporarily suspend the stress and turmoil of the daily grind. Holidays are special occasions not because they are expensive, or require ridiculous amounts of energy. They are the milestones of time and youth passing. They are times to commiserate and celebrate.
